Roça Monte Café
The Roça Monte Café was one of the most successful coffee plantations on the island and is located in the center of the island, in today's Mé-Zochi district, near the town of Trindade about 13 km from the center of Sao Tome city.
It was founded in 1858 by Manuel da Costa Pedreira and later belonged to the Café Companhia de Terras de Monte. Today it is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island, offering visitors the opportunity to tour the coffee plantation and taste the delicious coffee on site.
